Dr. Northrup was rude both to my son, the patient, and to me as his mother. I left a phone message to get clarification on meds and he never bothered to return the call. He would not take insurance even though he was on my son's plan because, as he put it to my son, "why take 50 cents on the dollar when I can make the whole dollar?" Then after my son threatened to go to his insurance company about it, Dr. Northrup had someone else in the office (didn't have the courage to do it himself) contact my son to tell him that he couldn't see him anymore. Northrup is a narcissist and mean spirited. Choose someone else for your healthcare needs!

If you are serious about getting appropriate mental healthcare, Dr. Northrup has a no nonsense approach. He helped my son some years ago. For at least 3 years now, he has been providing me with my ongoing mental health care. He has not put me on a rollercoaster ride of changing medications. With his guidance, I feel like I am progressing with being able to better manage my treatment plan.

He use to be good. He listened less and less. He was overly intimating. I kept telling him the med for my depression didn't work but refused to change. My life is worse after my moms death and he didn't help me with that very well. I trusted him. Nothing worked. All he wanted to do was pass me off on other doctors. And when I missed appointments (1) he or his staff ignored me. I tried to reschedule but he got wish. He stop seeing me as a patient. Also, not once have they tried to check

I feel very strongly in letting people know that Dr Northrup was careless in his care of my daughter. He neglected to check his messages or call or back on several occasions when she was in desperate need. He also failed to adequately oversee her change in meds, and see that she was in crisis as a result. Had I not intervened, I don't even want to think what may have happened.

I have been a patient of Dr Northrup for 13 years. He saved my life. After almost 38 years working for a Fortune 500 company I was stressed to the max. I stopped sleeping and could barely function. It wasn't an easy fix, but slowly Dr. Northrop found the right combination of medications and therapy to help make me the happy person I am today. I still keep regular appointments and he has worked hard to keep me on the right track. His office staff, Britany is always available to help.
