What People Say About Dr. George Lawry II, MD

I have a presentation of an autoimmune arthritic condition responsive to a number of medications in several different classes. I also have degenerative disc disease. But when I saw Lawry, he blew me off as a psychiatric case. So I actually did go to a psychiatrist who said that I had nothing wrong with me and should see a (physical) doctor! Then my MRI and neurological testing came back with objective findings of the problems I was reporting. I had to see other doctors to get the tests needed.

I was so upset after seeing this doctor. He dismissed evidence--pictures, lab tests, a confirmed diagnosis from previous rheumatologist (had to switch ins). He belittled my old doctor, who is highly respected in her field. Decided all of it was wrong, there was nothing wrong with me that could be diagnosed or treated. And he kept asking really inappropriate personal questions that had nothing to do with my autoimmune disease. If you have to see him, get a 2nd opinion. Thank god I did.

Saw him for first time, told me my last doctor was wrong I didn't have that disease, and took me off all meds for it. Like that's not a bad thing if he was right, but he was NOT. Those meds were working for me and my test results showed changes since being on them and I tried to explain but appointment was over, you don''t have it goodbye. I went and got another opinion and that doc couldn't believe what Lawry said, that something was obviously wrong, first doc was right. Glad I left!

This man had the nerve to ask me if I was divorced, how long I was married, how many times I was married, and if my ex is remarried. Here's the part I like best, I AM NOT THE PATIENT. The nosey, rude, crude, and needs to be investigated excuse for a compassionate doctor (are you kidding me?) should retired out of practice. Working in management in an HMO for years, I thought I had seen it all. He thinks he is G#d, and NO, he isn't. Stay far far away from this quack if you can.
