Steilacoom, WA |
I found Dr. Jackson to be a very arrogant and condescending physician. Regardless of how many physicians a person may have seen before Dr. Jackson or what has worked well for a patient in his/her past, he is the type of doctor that doesn't want to hear it or what the patient has to say. I would not recommend him as he does not listen and comes across as though only he knows the answer to your problems.
Dr. Jackson is rude and condescending. He will bypass looking at notes from previous health providers and come to his own diagnosis for you within about 10 minutes of meeting you. Additionally, he swears constantly. At first I thought he was doing this because he works in an area/with a certain demographic who might find this language relatable. I figured after meeting with me a few times and seeing that I don't swear he would stop during our sessions. Nope, he continued. Unprofessional.
Chicago, IL |
Dr. Jackson took the time to listen to my concerns, even extending an appointment when I needed extra time. He has been courteous, straightforward, no nonsense, insightful, and kind. He is a doctor of few words, listening intently and giving advice when I ask or only after carefully considering what I've said.

I can not even express my disgust with this doctor. Dr. Jackson stated that I was not Bipolar and told me I was moody and did not need to be on medication. He made this choice without even talking to me or reading any chart notes from my pervious doctor. I express my concerns but he ignored me and disagreed with my diagnosis of 10 years. Just because you went to Duke University does not make you GOD! DONT NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR NO MATTER WHAT! I would be dead if I continued care with DR. IDOIT!

I would recommend Dr. Jackson III to anyone and everyone who asked about needing a local psychiatrist. I felt extremely comfortable going to him with any and all lifes hiccups! No matter how chatty I got, he always gave great advice. My entire life I've relied on quick fixes and I've found that with Dr. Jackson he's not quick to hand off medication! Without him I don't know where I'd be today! HE IS A GOD SEND!!
