Dr. Garriss is a top tier physician. He is hampered by a mediocre staff, and by being an employee of Wellstar, which is a business as much as it is anything else. But I still refer my friends to Dr. Garriss. Lately it has been difficult to get an appt with him. Wellstar prefers to use nurse practioners but charge the same as they charge to see a doctor. If I wanted that I would go to Kaiser.

Dr. Garriss has been my primary care physician for over 8+ years. He is extremely concerned about patient care and takes as much time as needed during each appointment. I find him to be very thorough in determining treatment options for me. He considers alternatives and is careful to individualize his recommendations for my specific needs. I have and will continue to highly recommend him to friends and family. He actively listens to any concerns or questions that I my have.

I am not a good patient, however, Dr. Garriss is, was and will always be a better physician. That makes all the difference.

With deep regret that I feel I must leave this unfortunate review, it is indeed the staff and support network, specifically Jill D, who fail to meet a basic modicum of standards of care regarding Dr Garriss' patients. After waiting four months for an appointment and rescheduling once at the behest and request of the staff, I was turned away for being 15 minutes late for an appointment (no excuse). There was no consideration afforded me for my accommodating their previous rescheduling. Cav EMP
