Raleigh, NC |
I had a very poor experience overall with Dr. Edwards and Raleigh Hand as a practice. He didn't take a complete history and moved to a diagnosis quickly, without explanation. Overall, he spent five minutes with me before suggesting a cortisone injection that left my wrist in worse condition than it started. When I called and messaged the practice several times to get me in contact with Dr. Edwards after weeks after the injection, I got no productive responses that led to him reaching out to me.

After seeing Dr. Edwards the first time, he decreed I would need surgery within minutes of looking at my hands. I have a particularly aggressive case of Dupuytren's Contracture and ended up having two separate hand surgeries performed by Dr. Edwards. While I knew going into the surgery that recurrence was highly probable, I took his advice and had both surgeries followed by protocols for physical therapy. My opinion is that he was too quick to recommend surgery without regard to alternatives.
in Cary, NC |
Dr Edwards was highly recommended by numerous patients. I had carpel tunnel release surgery on my right hand. The office staff and Dr Edwards were professional and kind. My surgery was very successful. I would recommend Dr Edwards to anyone seeking an experienced and skilled hand surgeon.
in Goldsboro, NC |
Dr. Edwards spent a total of 5 minutes with me and simply offered a cortisone shot to treat my elbow pain - he had no interest in hearing my history, symptoms, previous treatments or why I was referred to his office. He simply wanted to give me a shot, get me out the door and see me again in 2 to 3 months. If all I wanted was a cortisone shot to mask the pain, I could have saved myself the hours drive and gone anywhere and saved my insurance company the cost of seeing this so called specialist!
