My first visit to Dr. Corrent today. More than 5 years since exam by any ophthalmologist. I was due for an update as I am 66. A friend referred me. Very personable, professional, and thorough. He did not rush or make me feel like I was on an assembly line. Took time to explain the condition of my eyes and the options available to me in lay terms. Highly knowledgeable. Truly wanted to maximize my vision. No high pressure sales talk. How refreshing!! I trust his judgment. Answered all questions.

He placed the wrong lenses in my eyes after cataract surgery. Gave me mono vision and didn't tell me after the surgery when I complained about vision. Then I had to go back to Corrent for cloudiness. When he lasered my eye the nurse gave me a script for another patient. I asked if the dr had my chart or someone else's. She left the room and came back. I said I wanted to see the dr. She said she couldn't find him. found out from another dr to correct what Corrent did could harm my vision more.

Dr. Corrent, while a physician at Bascom Palmer, placed the wrong lens into my eyes during cataract surgery. He had not consulted me whether I preferred distance or close up vision. When I realized what happened shortly after the surgery, he said that most people prefer distance. I had little or no problem with distance, but I was an avid reader, but can't be any more. I now have pain in my eyes when reading only for an hour. I was warned that replacing the lens could cause major vision loss.

George Corrent messed up my right eye during cataract surgery, left me -.75 nearsighted instead of making me 20/20. I still have to wear a contact in my eye to see clearly....stay away!
