Stay away from Dr, Barrett! I was seeing him for several years for a minor case of Irritable Bowel Disease. He over prescribed antibiotics which caused C-Diff, and subsequently caused Crohn's Disease. My IBS went from bad to worse as a result of his reckless use of antibiotics. For two years now I have been struggling with digestive disorders and had to switch Hospitals and Doctors. He has ruined my health and life, and I would never recommend him to anyone! with minor IBS.

I never met Dr. Barrett until my scheduled colonoscopy. My PCP had recommended him since I wanted someone local. He was pleasant, informative and had a great bedside manner. The.exam went smoothly and he followed up immediately after the exam with the results. He works with an excellent endoscopy Staff at Milton Hospital. I can’t say enough about the nurses. After 30 + years in the medical field, I look for a physician that is extremely knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. He’s got it.

I saw Dr. Barrett on two occasions for bowel leakage. He did not examine me on either occasion. He prescribed a probiotic. He next prescribed 30 days of an antibiotic. When I wrote him that the antibiotic was not working and asked for an explanation of his therapeutic strategy was, I got a response after more than a week only after I called the office to ask for one. A colorectal surgeon, after a simple examination, saw what Dr. Barrett would also have seen had he taken the time to examine me.
