Dr. Roach is originally from Rochester, NY. After completing medical school in Albany, he moved to southern California to finish his training at UCLA Medical Center. He has been at UCLA since 2008 and is now the Director of the Pediatric Blood Disorders Program.

Dr. Roach specializes in the research and treatment of benign hematologic disorders including hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, and other rare bleeding disorders, as well as thrombotic disorders such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and stroke. He also treats patients with hemoglobinopathies including sickle cell disease.
