I have also held major psychiatric management posts including medical director of two psychiatric hospitals--Cypress Creek Hospital in Houston Texas and Kingwood Pines Hospital in Kingwood Texas, state mental health commissioner in three states (Georgia, New Hampshire, Texas) and Assistant Commissioner in New York State. My interest and my specialty throughout my career is clinical psychopharmacology--treatment of psychiatric disorders with psychiatric medications. I attended the University of Texas in Austin and graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. I served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, and did my postgraduate medical training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx NY, University Hospitals of Cleveland (Ohio) and Austin (Texas) State Hospital. I have been married for 45 years and have 2 adult daughters. I have published over 30 articles and book chapters on psychiatric disorders and their treatment, and have also taught on the faculties of several medical schools, serving currently as Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Services, McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, Houston, Texas."

Dr Miller is extremely knowledgeable about interactions of medicines. He caught a conflict with a drug my PCP had prescribed. My PCP wasn't aware it was contra-indicated. He's also got my condition completely under control. He changed a med another doc had give me to one with a longer half live...more
