He is the absolutely BeST at treating Alzheimer's/dementia in this area!! I know this because not only did I work with him at one time years ago but he also treated my grandfather.. he is not a sugar coater and is pretty blunt.. I appreciate that in a physician!! He has moral and is a God fearing man ... one of the only psychiatrist I know who've will pray with a pt if the pt ask.

Dr. Ryder is very patient and non-judgmental. His office is beautiful and calming. Very estheticaly pleasing. Almost no waiting time. Dr. Ryder is easy to talk to and makes it easy to tell him what is bothering you.
Lake Charles, LA |
I recently met with Dr. Garret Ryder to talk about the terrible care that my grandmother had been getting at Oceans Behavior Hospital in Lake Charles. The experience was so unsatisfactory, disrespectful and unprofessional that I will be reporting him and his staff to the board of health. He was rude, short, and showed no interest in answering any of our questions. He was on the offensive from the time we walked in and was in a hurry to make us leave. I do not recommend anyone see this guy EVER!.
