Accepting new patients
Dr. Lewis attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs on a Boettcher Scholarship, where he graduated with high honors. His medical training took him to Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he completed medical school, internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He then returned to Denver for sub-specialty fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He has practiced gastroenterology in south Denver since 1991. Dr. Lewis is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Lewis currently acts as President of South Denver Gastroenterology. He serves on the Colorado Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee representing the Colorado-Wyoming Gastroenterology Society, on the Swedish Hospital Peer Review Committee, and on the Craig Rehabilitation Hospital Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Lewis's interests include therapeutic biliary and gastrointestinal endoscopy, endoscopic management of Barrett's esophagus, gastrointestinal problems in patients with spinal cord injury, and management of inflammatory bowel disease. When not working, Dr. Lewis enjoys biking, swimming and skiing.
