He ignored my complaints when I said I felt bad, & attributed it to 3rd trimester woes. My BP became uncontrollable within a few days, & I was spilling protein in my urine. He never did a 24 hour urine to follow up. Over the weekend I ended up at L&D for blood pressure over the 200's. He had me stay over night & gave me one IV BP med, & sent me home the next day (he never saw me in person), with instructions to follow up in a week. I got a 2nd opinion & deliveredthat week for pre-e.

Fantastic Doctor. This is my second pregnancy that I will be seeing him for. He is very understanding and very straight forward. I'm having triplets this time around and I would not trust any other specialist for something so high risk. #1 pick

      Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

      Dr. Harlass' Care Philosophy

For expectant mothers, the prospect of having a baby is both a joyous and exciting one. But for a number of reasons, some women need to be watched more closely during pregnancy. In such cases, the woman's obstetrician may suggest she consults with a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist. Our commitment is to provide thorough, professional and compassionate prenatal care and consultations. Our primary goal is for the best possible outcome for both the mother and baby. We see our role as supportive of the woman and her family, understanding that ultimately the experience of pregnancy and birth belongs to them. We are guides during this natural process, and we respect the right of each woman to determine, within reason, her experience. We feel privileged to participate in this journey.
