What People Say About Dr. Frederick Flandry, MD

He doesn't visit you in the hospital (other reviews mention the same problem). Pleas through his fellow to visit me to answer serious questions fell on deaf ears, even despite a serious complication which was caused by him during the surgery. I was in a very bad way after surgery because of his mistake (11 days) so I personally do not believe the 5 star reviews. I was under his care for long enough to discourage anyone considering this doctor.

Dr. Flandry has been wonderful seeing me as a patient. Had to have an osteoomony & Meniscus Repair. He was very detail in going over exactly what he was going to do. He also saved my husband's leg from another surgeon's mistake. Would recommend him hands down.

He saved my knee and leg after a car accident. I was told he was one of the best surgeons and came highly recommended. They were right! I am highly pleased with his care and treatments thus far. He is not the most compassionate but once you get to know him, he is a sweet doctor and down to earth. If you are looking for someone that shows pity, compassion and sympathy as soon as you walk in the door, that’s not him. I was lucky to get him to smile a few times.

Dr. Flandry did a terrific job repairing my severely fracture hip a few years ago. Recently I had hip replacement and was walking very well the next day. I highly recommend and respect Dr. Flandry and his team.

First time visit today, 9/20/18. Seems to be unmoved with his interaction with me. Could not give me eye contact and beside manners were horrible. ARNP, Anna was more compassionate. Unstirred! it was not a very comforting doctor-patient atmosphere. Suggested that I talk with Travis in physical therapy only to get a workout sheet for my issue. I go around to meet this person, to no avail, he did not even come out to meet with me. Sent sheet out and told desk clerk he did not know what knee.

I was told that Dr. Flandry was an excellent surgeon. However, I found him to be the most insidiously, insensitive physician, whom I have ever requested treatment. He ordered several unnecessary x-rays before telling me that I would need a MRI before he could render a more complete diagnosis. I was in severe pain and could not believe that he had me leave his office without any treatment. I visited another surgeon the next week and received treatment that he had refused to render.

Dr. Flandry is the reason I walk. He reconstructed my ankle and has done the maintenance on it. I went to another dr. for maintenance and ended up back with Dr. Flandry. He is worth the wait at the office--sometimes it's short, other times it is long, very long--but in the long run very worth the wait.

Outstanding! Dr. Flandry and his entire staff are the most engaging, professionals I have ever dealt with. Their total dedication to my health and recovery have been nothing less than excellent over the past 5'years that I have had to utilize their services. My recovery from a serious accident of my knee and recent Achilles Tendon injury has been excellent and I owe it all to Dr. Flandry accurate diagnosis and treatment.

I waited two hours before being seen by the nurse, after which she told me to move back to the waiting room to wait for the doctor. Once in the waiting room I asked the receptionist how long it would be, she replied with "I don't know". After some back and forth she went and asked the doctor, came back out, and told me, "four more patients ahead of you". I then asked her how long it would be, and she said "no idea".
