Dr. Frank Demery, Jr. is the co-founder of Internal Medicine & Pediatrics of Tampa Bay. He was born in Miami, Florida and traveled to North Carolina where he studied pre-med at Duke University. There he received a Bachelor of Science in both Biology and Psychology. Subsequently, he returned to Florida and received his M.D. from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. After graduation, he remained at USF in the combined Internal Medicine & Pediatrics residency program. During his residency training, he has generously volunteered in medical missions throughout several underdeveloped villages in both Honduras and Guatemala. After residency he co-founded Internal Medicine & Pediatrics of Tampa Bay with Dr. Mark Bilella in 2003. He does have active privileges at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital where he makes rounds on his newborn patients. Today he resides in Tampa participating in many community activities and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Medical Association. He has three dogs: Dewey the Puggle, Kingston the poodle shih-tzu mix and Blanche the Great Dane. Dewey and Kingston often accompany Dr. Demery to work and act as therapy dogs to the patients of our practice.
