Dr. La Plaza has taken care of my grandson, who has Special Needs, and made Matt very comfortable, unafraid, and HAPPY to go to Dr. La Plaza for his broken humerus !! I think he is a caring, patient and excellent orthopedist!

Dr. La Plaza is very rude. I had my son X rayed before going to Cohen Children's hospital. He had an issue with only one of his hips. Dr La Plaza decided he wanted to put screws in both hips. I said no to the two hips. I asked about the one hip was there any other methods that were not invasive to help it and he said no. He said as he stood up that he would do the second hip only if necessary. I said no again to do only one hip. My son came out of surgery with 2 hips pinned.

In agreement with the other parents that described the rude and condescending tone and attitude of Dr. Laplaza. I regret that I had not researched prior to scheduling an appointment, if I had seen these reviews, I would have gone with another doctor. In regards to his examination, it was minimal and brief, he depended more on the evaluations of the PA than conducting his own exam for the diagnosis.

This doctor is rude! He spoke down to us and insulted all of our child's doctors and therapists in areas that have nothing to do with him. He was condescending the entire visit and he entered the room with his mind already made up based on his assistants 2 second observation of our child. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone. We will never go back to him or anyone else in his "group". When you work with children you should actually like them and should at least pretend to have a heart

Our first appt with any specialist, it was (thankfully) a great experience. Dr LaPlaza along with PA Alexa were really thorough in checking and explaining everything. He suggested additional reading on children's hospital sites. And assured us in a way that felt very thoughtful. They have an excellent child-friendly energy that allowed my child to feel comfortable. We didn't have to wait and the office staff was fine.

Dr. Laplaza is a horrible Doctor. His manners are very rude and combative. I didn't want a procedure done on my child and he started yelling at me in front of my little kid. He said he is the doctor and he knows what he's talking about. All I wanted was a second opinion. He is very arrogant thinks he knows it all. Very rude. Will never go to him and don't recommend him. All he wants is your money he does not care about your child.

Horrible attitude. Not caring, just wants to see the next and next and next patient.

The doctor is very rude and arrogant. When I went to schedule the appointment receptionist gave me a hard time. Dr Laplaza see children with problem at 4yrs not at 1 yrs. I wanted to see the doctor because when my daughter was starting to walk and both of her feet were pointing inwards. I wanted him to evaluate if it was normal and if there was an issue I wanted to have corrected at an early age. I was referred to him by my pediatrician.
Rude and combative. Dismissive of our concerns regarding our 3 year old's development, who has received PT and other EI services for 2.5 years. Formed opinion before even evaluating. Questioned our son's existing neurological diagnosis, which was not even within his practice area. No time allowed for us to explain our concerns fully, after WE had to wait 1.5 hours to see him. He did not take us seriously despite our son's years of indisputable developmental delays. I'd give no stars if I could.
