F. Javier Barajas, M.D., specializes in internal medicine, he was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. He attended medical school at the highly prestigious Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Barajas continued specialized training for his residency program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine Programs. Dr. Barajas served as the Chief Medical Resident while at training in MSSM. Along with this training, Dr Barajas also was an associate faculty member for the Internal Medicine Department at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and was involved in medical research that has been published in prestigious scientific medical journals. Dr. Barajas joined Health Texas after having a successful practice in Oklahoma, where he was also a faculty member of Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Barajas has a wealth of experience that he draws from every time he meets with a patient. Each patient and each visit is unique, so he enjoys the opportunity to draw upon that experience and provide his patients the best care possible. What Dr. Barajas enjoys most about being a primary care physician is getting to know his amazing patients. It's all about the people, having the opportunity to use his culture, knowledge and education to help his patients achieve and maintain their best health possible. Taking the time to listen to each patient and provide the quality of service they deserve is always a top priority. When not seeing patients and tending to their needs, Dr. Barajas enjoys spending time with his #1 priority, his family. He also enjoys listening to music, playing the drums and watching a good NFL football game or soccer match. Wherever he travels, he also enjoys exploring the foods of various cultures. Dr. Barajas speaks both English and Spanish fluently. He sees patients 18 years of age and older.
