Orthopedic Surgery | Male

Care Philosophy

I support my patients decision to try conservative management protocols such as  physical therapy or medications first and/or if their impairment is severe enough to then have surgery.  Surgery should only be considered when there is a lot of disability or when you have exhausted all possible non surgical options.

Biography

Patient care is the priority of my practice. I strife to treat all diagnosed conditions with my background in pharmacology, orthopedics, sports medicine, medications, bracing or casting, physical therapy and when needed surgery.

Feedback of my patients is very important.  Medicine continues to change every day.  I always want to get better and improve what we do, especially when in "todays medicine" health insurances are actively involved in approving or not authorizing patient care.

I had my shoulder surgery schedule for a Wednesday. By Friday i was already having my PT and i was able to return to work in full duty 3 months after. The doctor is very professional, ethic, knowledgeable, has excellent communication with the patient.

Going on the recommendation of a trusted friend, I visited Dr. Moya for an ACL tear. From the moment I was received at the office, I noticed how this staff provides excellent care for their patients. Dr. Moya genuinely cares about your injury and provides realistic suggestions. His P.A., Diana, has a special gift for making patients feel at ease. The entire staff takes the time to get to know you, listen to your concerns and responds to calls and messages quickly. No better staff or care!

Dr. Moya Is one of the greatest human beings ive met. He truly does car for his patients. As a syudent athlete who got hurt outside of practice I didn't have the means to pay for an MRI. Dr Moya called in a favor had me take an MRI for free. Then when I found out I had torn my acl I was able to get surgery but not afford the physical therapy and he made sure I was able to get the treatment.. money to him was not the issue. the only thing that he asked of me was to pay it forward to someone else!

My son and daughter, both athletes, have been seen and treated by Dr. Moya. A professional practice in all facets. Staff is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Appointments were on time and the rehab facilities are excellent.

Dr. Moya has treated our family for various orthopedic needs for the last 15 years. This includes shoulder surgery for my spouse, and knee surgeries for my son and myself. Also received PT in his facility and had excellent results. He is easy to work with and treats his patients with respect without watering down a condition/alternative when delivering a diagnosis.

I specialize in Sports Medicine and have evaluated and treated more than 25,000 new patients in my career.  I also have decided to treat most of those patients with a non surgical approach to diseases.  I have also operated at least 300 patients every year with arthroscopic surgery.  I have also operated many patients in my life with different types of fractures like wrist fractures, etc.

    Dr. Moya says...

I one of the few orthopedic surgeons in the USA who do single portal arthroscopic surgery on the knee.
