Dr. Borlot is an assistant professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is both clinical and research faculty in the Division of Epilepsy within the Department of Neurology. He was born in Brazil, where he attended medical school and completed residency. Dr. Borlot was also a chief resident and pursued an additional year as residents' preceptor at Universidade de Sao Paulo. Prior to joining the University of Utah, Dr.Borlot furthered his training with a clinical and research fellowship in adult epilepsy at the University of Toronto, Canada. His training and experience focus on the evaluation and management of patients with longstanding history of seizures in transition from childhood to adulthood, as well as the underlying genetics causes of certain forms of epilepsy.
