I have been with Dr. Allen for 9+ years. Every time I see him for an appointment, he is completely present to me. I do not feel rushed, but rather that he is truly listening. I can genuinely say that it is due to his care that I am able to walk today. His care has been consistently outstanding, compassionate and professional. I could go on, but words do not do justice to the tremendous care I have received from Dr. Allen and his medical assistant, Angela. I am beyond grateful for his medical care and can say, without a doubt, that he is a doctor who is committed to the care of each of his patients!

There are 2 things that make this practice amazing. The physician and the staff. Dr Allen has been caring for a family member for years, and I attend the visits as well. The appointments are not rushed, the time spent to explain the disease, treatment options, and potential risks are the best we have experienced. Dr Allen is an excellent listener, and can explain the complex topics in a way for a non medical person to understand. The office staff is amazing. Low wait times to see the provider, consistently on time, and a friendly staff makes this a rare combination. They have adapted to covid in a safe way without compromising care. The infusion suite still has an extremely safe environment, and the office has taken additional precautions to protect their patients as many are elderly with compromised immune systems. If you want excellent care with a good experience from a well managed office I highly recommend Dr Allen!

The fact that this doctor rates so highly doesn’t speak well for healthcare in South Texas. The folks leaving them must have sustained head injuries at some point. I honestly believe this provider got his license through a raffle. A family member was referred to this arrogant “doctor ,” by another quack, who got their license from a raffle too. He didn’t really do anything for her. There was no need for a follow up BECAUSE HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING. Received a letter stating that going forward he could no longer be our doctor, and we were to go elsewhere. While this didn’t exactly bother us, the stupidity and arrogance of such a letter, I felt required comment. While I was impressed that as stupid as he was, he could send such a “big boy” letter, it really wasn’t necessary.

Dr Allen and staff are the best in South Texas. From the moment I walked into the office with concerns of a serious illness his staff was so polite and warming. Dr Allen is very personal and caring unlike many others in medicine. I am truly blessed to have him as my physician. Highly recommend him and staff hands down. Well done!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Allen's for over 10 years. I was a just a child when I was first diagnosed with RA and Dr. Allen has been instrumental in me being able to live a full and relatively normal life despite my diagnosis. He has always been interested in me as a person first instead of just a patient chart. I would highly recommend him to anyone with an established diagnosis or are still seeking one.

My daughter is a patient of Dr Allen and has infusions done onsite, as well. We are extremely happy w/the level of care, attention and overall concern that Dr. Allen has with her. He is also very receptive to all of my questions. She also sees the PA, Jennifer Apodaca and we are equally satisfied with her, as well. My daughter is studying to be a Pediatric Rheumatologist and she gets alot of support and encouragement from Dr. Allen.

I have been seeing Dr. Allen for a number of years and look forward to my appointments. I also have had to have infusions and this department is staffed with the nicest nurses. The accounting department for both the infusion group and Dr. Allen have been wonderful with me. I guess, in other words, there is everyone that I have dealt with have been courteous and well informed in their duties. On top of that they are pleasant to be around.
