I am a physician and surgeon who after careful research within the medical community chose Dr. Lederman to perform my surgery. I was told he would operate only if it was the truly appropriate choice and found this to be true through my discussions with him and through his actions. After a trial of physical therapy designed to help improve my condition and give me a better outcome once surgery was done, we proceeded to surgery. The outcome was fantastic so I could return to work as a surgeon!

Misinformation provided. Misleading statements from medical staff providing false hope for full recovery. Poor follow up. Seems they are as much interested in what they can extract from your wallet rather than your patient care.

I absolutely love this organization - the main reason I am writing this review however is my doctor - Dr. Evan Lederman. I have had both shoulders replaced (arthritis, no cartilage, extreme pain, etc.) I chose Dr. Lederman (part of the TOCA group) after careful research and many doctor interviews. Dr. Lederman is board certified in orthopedic surgery and subspecialty board certified in orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. Lederman has been practicing in Phoenix, Arizona since 1996. He has years of experience with specialty training in sports medicine, minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee and complex reconstructive surgery. His practice encourages non-operative care when possible and considers surgery only when necessary.  Dr. Lederman specializes all disorders of the shoulder including advanced techniques for rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability repair, acromioclavicular joint repair and primary and revision shoulder replacement including reversed shoulder replacement and also specializes in knee arthroscopy and ACL reconstruction.

Dr. Lederman's work has earned him acceptance as an associate member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) and is only the second surgeon in Arizona to receive this prestigious honor.  He has been awarded the distinction of Phoenix Magazine's TopDoc and Phoenix SuperDoctors.  He has been named one of the "20 of the Top North American Shoulder Surgeons: 2015″  by Orthopedics This Week.

Dr. Lederman is the chief of shoulder service and fellowship director for the Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, clinical faculty for the Orthopedic Residency program and Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, University of Arizona.  He educates, lectures and participates in research in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction. He regularly teaches labs to residents and surgeons on arthroscopic surgery and shoulder replacement surgery.  Dr. Lederman has teamed up with industry leaders and has helped create new products and operative procedures for shoulder replacement, AC joint repair and clavicle fracture repair.

Dr. Lederman served as head team physician for the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury for 16 years and is the Arizona team physician for the Milwaukee Brewer's. He is a consulting physician for Arizona State University, and Ballet Arizona and has cared for athletes at all levels of participation.  He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Sports Medicine Institute Fellowship Society,  Arizona Orthopedic Society, Maricopa County Medical Society and the Western Orthopedic Association.
