She has practiced as a Board Certified Allergist/Clinical Immunologist since 1991. Dr. Jakabovics received her Medical Degree from Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. Her medical training continued at the Driscoll Foundation Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she became Chief Pediatric Resident. She was then accepted as a Fellow in the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Jakabovics is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a member of the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association and the Philadelphia Allergy Society. Dr. Jakabovics is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy & Clinical Immunology. Over the years, she has been involved in over 100 clinical research studies for a number of pharmaceutical companies conducting many double blinded, placebo controlled trials. She has co-authored several articles that have appeared in Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She has conducted numerous professional and community-based lectures."
