Not just skilled but courteous and understanding
My cancer diagnosis was completely unexpected. My former husband is an MD who did the research to find me Dr. Shostak. And boy, am I glad he did. Dr. Shostak was kind, patient and understanding of my fears. He also took the time to talk to ALL my family. Biopsy was painless. He explained how the joint MSK, Cornell Columbia team would work my case. We’ve had a joint video conference including my family and will have an in person follow up. He will continue to follow my case. Couldn’t have chosen better.

Excellent initial appointment
Excellent. I was able to get a same-day appointment and he has on his staff another doctor as well as a nurse practitioner and an assistant so I had no trouble whatsoever in filling out forms and getting the medical information I needed. Dr. Shostak carefully explained my condition and the procedure I will have and immediately put me at ease. He was extremely reassuring and was able to eliminate any apprehension I had. I know and am thankful that I am in very good hands with Dr. Shostak.

He was the best Dr. In terms of explanation of procedure and testing that I would need. He spoke slowly and took his time with me. I didn’t feel rushed. He made it a point to go over anything I didn’t quite understand again if needed. He did something great as I was relaxed and no longer nervous.
