Over the course of 3 days I went from a healthy 57 year old to needing an upright walker just to move and constant pain in my lower back. I'm still not sure what caused my lower vertebrae to collapse and pinch the nerves. I couldn't stand up straight or rotate my feet. I saw Dr. Giddens several days after the initial emergency room visit. He hospitalized me that same day and operated 2 days later. Now 3 months after the surgery I can walk normally and have had ZERO pain. The surgery could not have been a better success.

Dr. Giddens is a doctor who actually listens, which I truly appreciate. As far as staff goes you would be hard pressed to find one as efficient, responsive or as kind as those I met. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Giddens without reservations.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Giddens. He diagnosed my problem after many doctors had misdiagnosed my years of falling. I had been sent to many hours of physical therapy by many different doctors even several in Clemson. Still my problem was not solved. A good diagnostic doctor is worth his weight in gold! Dr Giddens got to the bottom of my problem and corrected it. He tells me when I need him all I have to do is call him and he makes adjustments in my shunt. Now no more falling even though I am in advanced age of 82 years of age.

I had an X-ray done at the hospital. When I found out part of my fusion, they did, was sticking out of my spine and hitting a nerve. When I made my appointment it took over a month to get in. It took two hours for his PA to get to me to order a MRI. Two weeks after the MRI I finally saw Dr. Giddens. Who told me the same thing and told me he needed a CT Scan. My insurance company called before his office did to tell me I was approved for my procedure. I called Dr. Giddens’ office to see if they had made the appointment for my scan. Two weeks later I called two days in a row to find out the information. I was told someone would call me. The next day they called me and set up the appointment for the following week. Also, they set my appointment to see Dr. Giddens two weeks after that. Meanwhile, I am in pain. I try to move around until I’m in pain. I believe a MRI is more intrusive than a CT Scan and a plan should have been made at that time. Next, I am going to find a surgeon @ Tidelands
