I am a disabled veteran, who has been fighting pain and discomfort for over 11 years. I originally injured my neck and back when I was on active duty, I have been seen by at least 5 other neurosurgeons, and every time VA or Health Choice was contacted, the situation would fall through. this time Dr. Giddens had no problem getting the approval needed. The condition in my neck was to The point I had numbness and lack of motion. The same day of surgery I had feeling and movement back immediately.

I am a Us Army disabled Veteran and Dr. Giddens performed surgery on my lower back, which took place at the grand strand medical center in Myrtle Beach SC, the surgery went great and 3 weeks later I am recovering and walking slowly but with a lot of progress. Thanks Dr. Giddens and crew for your outstanding job.

Dr. Giddens took care of our daughter in an emergency situation and I can't say enough about the care she received and the way Dr. Giddens was always ready to answer questions and explain everything. His office staff is very easy to deal with and very caring. I would recommend him to everyone.

I met Dr Giddens for a very serious issue with my spine. In my short period with him it was evident he is very true to his word. He looks you in the eye when he speaks to you. He tells you the truth. In my situation he could not help at this time and told me could do this or that but it would be worsening. So he is not about the money. He is about the individual. If it comes down to needing his service I will with out a doubt go to him. He is very well mannered and I trust him. My heart feeling.
in Murrells Inlet, SC |
Professional. Kind. Respectful. To the point. No BS. This is exactly the kind of surgeon I want operating on me. He's straight and to the point. I knew immediately that he was the doctor I wanted operating on my back. I will recommend him to anyone considering spine surgery on or near the grand strand of South Carolina.

Amazing doctor. I suffered from back pain for years. Dr Giddens recommended surgery. Having the procedure was the best decision I have ever made. Dr Giddens gave me back my life!
Loris,SC |
Dr.Giddens is intelligent, compassionate, and interactive. He saved my life after a head on collision automobile accident. I thank God this man was on duty the night of my accident. A nurse told me later that Dr Giddens stayed at the hospital after my late night surgery to monitor my recovery. I highly recommend this wonderful doctor to anyone.

I had back surgery the first of May. Have no idea what he did. I only saw him one time after my surgery and that was the morning after. Every time after that the PA saw me. When I went back for my follow-up I also saw the PA. They have yet to tell me what procedure or procedures they did. What I do know is that I have been in constant pain since the surgery. Pain is worse than it ever was before the surgery. I have no use for a doctor that has no interest in his patients after the fact!
Myrtle Beach, SC |
The most awful experience of my life, he has no sympathy or concern for his patients
Thank you for contacting us. We would like to address these concerns with you directly. Please call our administration at 843-449-2336 at your convenience to discuss this further. Thank you.

Very patient and considerate. Felt like he was interested in me as an individual.
in Calabash, Nc |
We went to Dr. Giddens already prepared with info because we knew already the most serious issue that needed to be done first. Surgery went well. Aftercare was/is the big issue. He is in so much pain he is talking suicide because Dr. Giddens won't consider any further examinations to look at other parts and won't give painkillers either. My fiancé doesn't want to be stuck on pain meds. He wants help figuring out what is wrong but has been blown off by doctors disinterest.
