This guy is rock solid. Dr. Dickens did my umbilical hernia repair with a Da Vinci robot (he's one of the most experienced surgeons in the world with this system) - all I know is my procedure and recovery both went smooth as glass.

I adopted robotic surgery in 2012.  I have fully embraced this platform due to its ability to offer minimally invasive surgery to patients that previously would have required open surgery.  I continue to be amazed at what can be done with the robotic interface and a dedicated surgical team.  I have trained several hundred surgeons from all over the world in robotic surgery.  It has been an amazing learning experience for me to be able to interact with so many excellent surgeons over the past 3 years.  Steel sharpens steel. My surgical technique continues to improve through collaborative interactions with the world's leading surgeons.

Dr. Dickens says...

I am a very good surgeon.  Most all general surgeons are very good surgeons as well. Fortunately, in Tulsa, we have many excellent surgeons for patients to choose.  I do feel that I have gained more experience than most as it relates to robotic surgery. Robotic surgery is not right for every one or every situation. However, I love the abilities it imparts to me and my team.  I would love to discuss if the robot is right for you.  Our front office is available M-F 8:30-5:30 (918.599.8200).
