I had low back pain that radiated down my thigh and calf. I began physical therapy which helped significantly, but the pain recurred. Dr. Colliver gave me an SI injection that completely relieved the pain. My job requires me to be alert. I cannot routinely take pain meds or muscle relaxers. I am thankful that I am pain free and medicine free!
Blacksburg, VA |
Possibly the worst experience I have ever had with a physician. Nothing was learned at my visit that was not already explained to me by my primary care doctor. Pain is an illusion to him as having a herniated disc is not worthy of even the mildest of medication to manage.

We've had multiple apple w/ very little info. They schedule you w/PA whoasks questions that could be done over phone. Follow up is with Dr Colliver. seems great when you can see him. So 4 visits could've been handled in 2. also really favor & recommend their in house rehab (no insurance cov) over PT(licensed and covered). Staff is aloof and unhelpful. Demanded payment at last visit vs sending bill after being told I could be billed. Did not have HSA W/me so we had to leave. Very disappointed.

Dr. Colliver seems to be courteous and professional. Not sure if his interest is mainly getting a person to make numerous visits. Office staff is incompetent. Insurance billing is incompetent.
in Christiansburg, Va |
Dr Colliver has the magic touch. I had been in pain several months. One visit with him and he diagnosed & corrected my problem. He is very polite and courteous. The office was ran professional. Highly recommended.
Blacksburg, VA |
Office staff is misinformed about policies. Told I could not have results of diagnostic tests (done after the first appointment as an outpatient) without scheduling another appointment. Followup not supposed to be for a month, but to get the results, returned a week after the first appointment. Dr. Colliver was surprised to see me and told me that I should NOT have had to make an appointment just to get the "all clear" on the diagnostics- he said staff was training. Dr. is great, staff is not.
Christiansburg, VA |
The staff at Dr. Culliver's office is inefficient to say the least. They told me they would schedule my MRI...I called 2 1/2 weeks later and the comment was "she has not done that? I thought she had..you keep your phone close because I will call you back today." A week later she called. That was only one issue of several in dealing with the front office. There is no personality, compassion, or concern. Dr. Colliver is a very good doctor but he is losing patients due to his office staff

Very good, He is pretty much on time which I find rare these days. He relived my very painful sciatica and that was much needed.
in Blacksburg, VA |
All what he recommends is to convince you visiting the physical therapy clinic next door which I believe he get a conflict interest, and he will never miss a chance to charge you even if you only go back to pick up a piece of paper work...
Blacksburg, VA |
Not sure why this doctor won the Bedside Manner award. I found Dr. Colliver depressing. He told me he had no diagnosis and there was a good chance I would walk again whenever all I needed was some pain management. (and I am now walking again with a walker) Dr. Raju at the Christiansburg Pain Management clinic was much more compassionate and didn't humiliate me for being handicapped and weak the way Dr. Colliver and his staff did.
in Christiansburg, VA |
This doctor is too busy and has too many patients to provide adequate services. His office wasn't able to order tests for me, my GP had to get involved. I felt like I was being pawned off onto his PA, who said she could schedule me for a procedure, yet when I called to schedule it, the first time I called during office hours, 3pm, it went to messages, then the second time, I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then the procedure could not be scheduled until a month later. He is too busy for me
