Dr. Estelamari Rodriguez is board certified in medical oncology and hematology. She has a special interest in the early detection and treatment of lung cancer, and how cancer affects women. She is co-investigator of the Mount Sinai Cancer Research Program and Co-chair of the Multidisciplinary Thoracic Group. Dr. Rodriguez received her medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at Columbia University's New York-Presbyterian Hospital and her medical oncology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Rodriguez also has a master's degree in Public Health from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain. A longtime advocate of women's health issues, Dr. Rodriguez is chair of Mount Sinai's Women's Centered Care Program and has co-authored original articles and reviews on the topic of women's health disparities. She is passionate about empowering women to take charge of their own healthcare.
