I had general surgery performed by this doctor. I was given the impression that the incision would be approximately an inch or two. It was agonizing and psychologically traumatizing to be left with a scar more than several inches in length. A year later the mass returned and I had to have another doctor fix the problem he didn’t. I would avoid this doctor at all costs and would not recommend him under any circumstances.

Great doctor. Makes sure you have everything you need. I had a medical emergency and he personally walked me back to the pre-op area and made sure I was well taken care of.

Dr. Burch recently treated my husband at Providence Hospital for bowel obstruction . My husband was very ill when brought into ER . Dr. Burch immediately went into action, tried to treat the problem without invasive surgery and was very attentive, compassionate and kept us informed at every step of treatment. He called in consulting physicians and when surgery became the only option he explained in detail the procedures he would use and outcomes anticipated. We appreciate his professionalism.

Dr Burch is a very uncaring and in compassionate doctor. He did not listen to me when I told him I was having complications. Rather than see me in his office during business hours 2 days after surgery, his nurse called me back and rudely told me to go to the emergency room. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. If I could give him 0 stars I would.

Dr. Burch was the absolute definition of condescension. While taking care of my wife's wound, he ripped a stitch out, causing an infection for several days. When we asked about the issue the next week, we were treated in a way that no one should ever be treated. My wife was given no explanation, only told she was wrong, uneducated, and didn't know what she was talking about. At no point was an explanation given, and no further care was provided. We will never see this doctor again.
