I was never treated so bad before. Went in not knowing what I had. Sjogens, Wasn't told it was a syndrome,That means blood. I got a print out. left not knowing anything different.after reading her specialties, she should have been able to handle mine.I have bone issues, frozen lung,more..I have several She sent me for labs, not sure why .You plan on making an appointment with her, bring someone, a tape recorder she talks so fast. Another person addressed my fears on the med.Still left frazzled.
Zero empathy. Zero bed side manner - I may not be a "Doctor" but have more experience with auto immune issues than she realizes. For everything I attempted to say ("attempted" because I was constantly getting cut off by her)she either railroaded what I had to say, belittled my symptoms OR she'd say "that's a neuro thing, that's a kidney thing" - she was interested in joints or arthritis only basically. Beyond rude. I don't plan to return. Back to Fort Worth it is!

I gave her two stars, because she rushed me, cut me off and literally flew out the room to the next patient. I would have given her one star for that, but I believe she knows what she is doing, but taking on too many Patients to spend quality time on current patients. When you have a 2-3 month wait it is time to start turning people away. From my understanding she is the better doctor of the 2 RA's we have. I would suggest if your insurance allows to go to Dallas. I canceled my next appt.

Just visited Dr Erin K Shiner, she lacks Empathy, Compassion, and Expertise. She said my PCP is "JUST A NURSE PRACTITIONER". The things that I have issues with are not her concern, it is a neurologist. She is only interested in arthritis, not THE symptoms. She pussed me off and she said I had a negative attitude. I don't get told that unless u bring it out of me. Such a waste of time.

I saw Dr. Shiner for my scheduled appointment without a wait! She stayed in the room with me literally 10 minutes, without asking me any questions. Not interested in finding out what was wrong with me at all. She sent me for lab work and told me to come back in 2 weeks to see her nurse practitioner (haha funny). She submitted to my insurance company a $448 charge with a 1+hour office visit. Very troubling... I was in the door and out the door, labs included, in 35 minutes.... Such a waste time!!

I went with my husband to see Dr. Shiner. She lacked compassion, she was in a hurry and we were completely disappointed by her bed side manner.
in Wichita Falls, TX |
Very displeased. I was there only a short time, and this was my first visit. When Dr. Shiner came into the room, I felt like she did not want to be bothered with me. I can tell that she didn't read my chart because she never asked me about all the symptoms im having. She never assessed me. Somehow she was able to tell me that I was ok, prescribed me some pain meds, and told me to come back for reassessment. How can I be reassessed when I was not assessed to begin with? I will not visit her again
in Graham, TX |
I was referred to Dr. Shiner from my internal medicine physician and she saw me relatively quickly. I was so relieved to have someone who listened, performed tests, and then we talked again. She also referred me to another specialist for pulmonary help. The medications have me feeling 95-100% better on most days.
