This content was provided by Dr. Maus "Dr. Maus was born in Mexico City and obtained his Medical Degree from the Facultad Mexicana de Medicina, La Salle in 1996. He finished his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at the University of Texas in Houston and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine / Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine as well as by the American Board of Wound Management. He pursued training in the management of lymphatic disorders at the Foldi Klinik in Germany and has participated in ground breaking research in the imaging of the lymphatic system using Near-Infrared Lymphangiography. He became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Vodder Technique and has served as the Medical Director of the Memorial Hermann Lymphedema Clinic in Houston. Dr. Maus has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of challenging wounds as well as in the diagnosis of patients with swelling and lymphedema among other conditions. He started a vein practice for the University of Texas and has contributed with research papers and book chapters in topics related to lymphatic and venous problems as well as in wound care. He has been involved in academic medicine with mentoring of students, residents and doctorate fellows from the University of Texas and Baylor College of Medicine. In addition to seeing patients in the office, Dr. Maus has a busy hospital practice where he takes care of patients with complex wounds at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston Methodist, CHI Baylor St. Luke's, Cornerstone Hospital and Kindred Hospital, Texas Medical Center."

I value the time of my patients and I wish there were no delays in the office but if we are running behind schedule it is because a patient had "extra" needs that had to be addressed during the visit. 

Occasionally patients are so sick that an admission to the hospital has to be arranged or an unplanned procedure has to be made. 

We strive for excellence and every patient is a VIP.
