Board certification should be one of your top considerations when choosing a doctor. Board certification is an official recognition given to doctors who have met specific requirements set by national medical specialty boards in the United States.
Board certification indicates that a doctor is highly qualified in the medical field in which he or she practices. A board-certified doctor is more likely than a non-board-certified doctor to have the most current skills and knowledge about how to treat your medical condition.
I have extensive experience with all of the common, as well as more unusual conditions in my specialty.
Patients often ask me "How many of this type of surgery have you performed"? Since I have worked in this specialty for 37 years (including residency training), I have performed literally thousands of operations. Each year of my practice, I do well over 450 operations. I regularly attend continuing education meetings and congresses to stay up-to-date with recent advances in all of the operations I perform, and work hard to perfect my techniques.

Healthgrades updates the Recognized Doctor list quarterly based on board certification data. Healthgrades also receives sanction and malpractice data throughout the year, depending on how frequently the state medical boards release updates.
We remove a newly sanctioned doctor from the Recognized Doctor list as soon as we receive the information. However, it is important to note that malpractice information is publically available in only 14 states.

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

My website contains some detailed information about my family and personal life, and I encourage all of my prospective and current patients to visit this site. The Kreutzer family has been in Colorado since 1878, and other than a few years elsewhere (medical school Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, etc), I am proud to be a Coloradoan, and have a family that has been part of Colorado history. I have been married for 34 years and my son is an attorney in New York City. He promises to return to Colorado some day.
As I am the sole practitioner in my practice, I take great pride in providing a personal, thorough approach to each patient. As time allows, I enjoy teaching patients an understanding of their conditions and treatment options. I bring my 34 years experience in the specialty of ENT-Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery to my patients and their families. My senior office staff have been with me for 14 years, and we truly enjoy working together. We hope to bring comfort to our patients.
