I have been to see Sarah Byrd on two occasions. She has been knowledgeable and professional without being cold and unapproachable. Her treatments are firm but with a gentle hand. At least for minor procedures I would recommend seeing her.

If your poor find someone else. Office staff some think they are in Palm Beach very snobby. The front office lady is very nice. I am working with a Federal funded program called Ryan White Program. Twice I have had to hear lies while waiting in lobby that Ryan white is broke and doesnt pay thier bills. Funny thing is that they are funded from 15 million and up for each state. And unless Dr Hurst staff can prove Ryan White never paid a bill to there office then stop spreading Rumors/lies. Do you not like gay people coming to your office? Just a question because a lot of Ryan White programs help the gay community. They have saved my life in the past for sure. I didnt feel I was treated right the last time or this time in your office and just stop spreading lies about a non-profit organization you have no clue about. I want to go to a Dr who staff seems to care more about the patients then about themselves. Oh my two sisters are Nurses and my Dad is a Doctor. I know dr. Office should work

The lady at the front desk is rude and argumentative with the patients. She raised her voice and called me a liar. The promises made by the staff also seem to fall short and prescription medicines are not phoned in as promised on the same day. Dr. Hurst and the two nurse practitioners are friendly and professional but, I have chosen to go out of the area for far better treatment and examinations. I would highly recommend you do the same.

Dr. Hurst is good, so is the nurse practitioner. Office staff are terrible. I’ve been treated rudely multiple times and it has gotten bad enough that I’m going to be finding a new dermatologist.

I called the Martinsburg office to make an appointment with Dr. Hurst to look at a spot on my face that I was concerned about. The Martinsburg office did not have an available appointment until late May, but the lady checked and scheduled me the next day at the Hagerstown office. Wonderful customer service from that phone call forward. The staff was very nice and Dr. Hurst was wonderful. I would recommend Dr. Hurst's office to anyone who needed a dermatologist. Very satisfied! B.Dolan

NO stars recommended. This office has been very unprofessional with a situation that occured while my daughter was a patient. She is currently on WV Medicaid due to the fact that she is a College student and full time worker for Urgent Care. She has been seeing the Physician Assistant for about 5 months now and has not had any kind of relief for ailment. She requested to see the Doctor for another look at her condition and was told because of her insurance (Medicaid)she could not see the Doctor

I have been going to Dr. Hurst for several years for interventions and also follow up. He is always kind, considerate, and patient. He takes his time with each patient and answers all questions completely. He is very gentle in his treatments, which means a lot when you are having an area frozen! What a wonderful and pleasant gentleman he is, and a skilled practitioner. As a nurse of almost 40 years, I can tend to be critical of who I refer friends to, and I ALWAYS recommend Dr. Hurst!

I went to Dr. Hurst for a second opinion for sebaceous dermatitis. I found Dr.. Hurst to be knowledgeable and caring. He diagonosed my condition as sebopsoriasis. He prescribed a slightly different course of action and within a month my scalp is healthy and clear. I definitely would return to Dr. Hurst for any future dermatology problems.

Dr. Hurst has been treating me for psoriasis for several years. I was against using Biological until I talked with him (as well as his assistant) about how it worked. I started using Humira 6 weeks ago and my psoriasis, that I have had for over 60 years began to go away. Yesterday I had a follow-up with him and he was very kind and encouraging and was very pleased with the results. Dr. Hurst is a very good doctor as well as a man that is kind and allows you to help make decisions.

I was expecting a full body exam, got a cursory face only exam, followed by a 5 spot freeze treatment that I now have to have re-treated by another dermatologist as Dr. Hurst?s treatment was not complete or successful. Admittedly, I feel a bit ripped off for having spent a total of 15 minutes with a medical professional and now have to schedule further care from another dermatologist in order to receive the proper care (true full body exam) and treatment any exam may require. It's a mill.

I will not be going back to Dr. Hurst. I have been to his office three times for the same procedure within a month and a half . He has charged me all three times for the same procedure. It was for a wart removal. He is the professional and should know how to remove it the first time. I understand the second time being charged. The third time is absurd. But the comment that was made was even worse. You have an HSA so it's really not your money. Are you kidding me!!!! Never again.
