I went to Dr Strauss for a rash. He diagnosed poison ivy and gave me a steroid cream. I asked him 6 times if he was sure it wasn’t shingles and he said he was 100 percent sure. The rash got raw and painful and blistered and spread all over my left side. I called him and he never called back so I went to urgent care where they correctly diagnosed me with shingles and told me the cream he gave me is contraindicated for shingles and should never be used on a shingles rash. Shingles is bad enough and now I am suffering even more because he was incompetent to differentiate poison ivy from shingles. Stay away!!!

Dr Struass was God sent in my case. After seeing over 6 doctors, all of whom mis diagnosed my condition and wasted my time, I was able to see Dr Strauss. He treated me with full confidence and I can tell you he was truly God sent. The only reason I did not see him earlier is that there is usually a months waiting time to get his appointment. In retrospect I should have waited a month and seen him earlier, that way I would not have wasted my time, patience and money with those 6 doctors.

Dr. Strauss is very efficient and personable, takes the time to explain what he is doing and what he is finding. I did not feel rushed when he was doing the exam, as I have felt with other dermatologists. I would definitely recommend him and I plan on getting regular check-ups with him.
