I would leave zero stars but that wasn’t an option. I asked Dr Stein to fix a small hole that was causing a whistle in my nose. He put a septal button in which was so large that it made me miserable. Headaches, constant sneezing feeling; it was awful. I have NEVER had any sinus issues, no history of drug use; just a tiny hole. My physician first saw it and called it ‘tiny’. Dr. Stein took out the button in his office and left my nose permanently RUINED. I have a hole in my septum the size of a NICKEL!!! I have virtually NO septum separating my nostrils. He never told me that I would end up like this and he certainly never told me that he would be making a tiny hole HUGE to ‘fix’ a whistle. This doctor seemed a little too eager to perform surgery and I should have listened to my gut on this one. I trusted this doctor and I feel mislead, unimportant and he won’t even address the condition he left my nose in.

Dr. Stein is the best-all that you hope a doctor will be: really good at what he does (he fixed a problem two other specialists couldn't), kind, compassionate, and an impressively good listener (He didn't come in looking at a chart in his hand while you spoke, or seem fidgety, waiting for you to stop talking. On the contrary, after a friendly hello, he immediately sat face-to-face, directly in front of me and waited for me to speak, fully engaged until I finished speaking). Highly recommend him.

I waited 45 & 30 minutes for each of my last two appointments. Then, in the room, I was lucky if I got 5 minutes (at a $60 co-pay each time!). One appointment was a follow-up for a CT that he had ordered. The point of the appointment was to make a diagnosis and plan based on the scans, but he "wasn't able to log into the portal" & told me I should've brought the scans myself! I went again for a new issue and was totally blown off. Just likes to listen to himself talk & not consider the patient!
