I was very satisfied. Dr. Sandwith was very kind and informative. As his office is very close to my house, it is much easier for me to have a Doctor close by. Office staff was very kind and they even called me for earlier appt than I was scheduled.

Ten years ago my husband came into FWB Hospital with a heart attack. We were so blessed that Dr. Sandwith was there to treat him. His health the past ten years has been excellent. He plays pickleball, is active in church and community, adores and is adored by grandchildren and valued by his family. Dr. Sandwith was not only a very able surgeon, but a compassionate and wise person not only with Joe but with the family. I do indeed thank God for him.

Dr Sandwith provides compassionate and very personal care at the very highest quality. His entire team in both the hospital and clinic are exceptional at making sure you are informed and made to feel secure during the whole process. I wouldnt go anywhere else for heart surgery and I would absolutely recommend Dr Sandwith and his entire staff to anyone that had the same need. He provided big city medicine in this small town and I am so grateful for him saving my life so that I can continue to enjoy all of the small things!!

My husband "WALKED" into Fort Walton Beach Hospital to have "ELECTIVE" abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery on 10/9/19, with Dr. Sandwith. After surgery my husband went into a coma and passed away on 10/12/19. My husband and I made a huge mistake by choosing Dr. Sandwith. I don't want another patient to make that same mistake.

Very helpful, reassuring, and informative. Dr. Sandwith has a "bedside" manner that has been sorely missing in Doctor/Patient relations for a very long time. He convinced me that he knew the value of being thorough which, in my situation, is definitely needed.

Dr. Sandwith made time to see me between surgeries. He reviewed my primary care doctor's referral and talked with me about my condition. I needed a "heart" doctor's explanation and recommendation of my options and prognosis. It was as if I were his only patient and he had all the time needed to answer my questions. He put my mind at ease and I am confident in his ability to do what is best for me. I recommend him without reservation.

He saved my life, how could I not recommend to family and friends. Dr. Sandwith is amazing and so is all of his staff. He explains everything to you before surgery and after he takes the time to see how you are doing daily. Though I hope never to have to see him again but, if I have need of a cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Sandwith will be my first call.

Dr Sandwith Got the ball rolling on getting the treatment that I needed to treat the cancer in my lung. I have known about the disease since August and it is now the end of November. He really reacted and made me feel that my life was important. All of this transpired on my first visit with him.

This is my second review. He is obviously a great surgeon as he did a good job with my mother’s pacemaker, however she has yet to get a follow up visit even though he advised us that she needs an endardectomy due to a blockage. She has now had her f/u appointment rescheduled for the 5th time due to him being unavailable. I am dumbfounded as to why he is accepting new patients when he is unavailable for existing ones. Who is to blame if my mom has a stroke? This is so frustrating. Help?

Dr. Sandwith doesnt leave you at the operating room door. He gave me new life and I will forever be grateful to him. If you need open heart surgery this is the man to see. Thanks Dr. Sandwith...although that could never be enough.
