This content was provided by Dr. Pagenkopf "Eric Pagenkopf, M.D., is a board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Trauma. He has extensive experience with the surgical management of complex trauma, including the reconstruction of intra-articular fractures and those of the pelvis and acetabulum. He attended medical school at Hebert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Naval Medical Center San Diego, and fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma at Cornell University's Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He is a retired officer of the U.S. Navy, where he served as a pilot and physician. He has extensive experience in the treatment of combat related orthopedic trauma with deployments to Iraq and Landstuhl, Germany where he served as Director of Orthopedic Trauma at the primary combat receiving hospital for U.S. and allied casualties. Eric Pagenkopf, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons (ABOS), a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), an active member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association (OTA), and a member of AO North America, the Foundation for Orthopedic Trauma (FOT), and the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons (SOMOS).
