Galion, OH |
I was sorry to hear of Dr Grimes leaving Galion. He did my thyroid surgery and was an excellent surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. After my surgery the doctor himself walked with my husband and daughter back to my room. We need more doctors like Dr. Grimes.
I am so glad you had a good experience and want you to know that I have only moved 40 minutes away to Wayne County, if you would ever need to see me in the future. Thank you for your kind words and letting me know your appreciation for my care. I hope to continue to do well.

I had a tonsillectomy with dr grimes. He was very polite, and listened to all of my concerns and symptoms. He checked on me before and after surgery. He didn't prescribe narcotics which I'm actually thankful for bc I didn't have any vomiting due to them! I have called and gone and seen him since with recovery concerns and he was very caring and empathetic! I wil continue to go to him as my ENT doctor !
Thank you for your positive comments. I have moved my office to be closer to my family, but am happy to see patients from Mansfield at my new location in Orrville, Ohio.

I hope Dr. Grimes looks at his reviews. When this many people are commenting on negative aspects of his personality, it's time for him to stop and make some changes. For my family, I m glad we checked reviews first, we will go somewhere else.
I am sorry that you did not give me a chance to offer your family care, many patients offer very positive reviews. If you would ever be in need in the future I would be happy to be of service.
Mansfield OH |
Dr. Grimes is rude, inconsiderate, and condescending. Not only was he physically hurting my child, but when my child started crying and proclaiming pain, Dr. Grimes just kept on going. He laughed at my childrens concerns and scoffed at my HCP. However, I was in good company, as I was witness to the same attitudes towards his own staff. Thanks, but no thanks on Dr. Grimes. 0 recommendations..other than it's retirement time.
I am sorry that you did not have a positive experience. I do not recall the events that you describe and would agree that this is not an experience that I would strive to provide. I would agree that sometimes medical procedures and treatment can be uncomfortable, but I do not enjoy causing children pain and would never laugh in doing so. I agree that it is probably for the best that you seek care from another provider and hope that you will be more satisfied with your experience elsewhere.
Mansfield, OH |
He was rude & quite frankly borderline obnoxious. I wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend a new patient see him. I started to ask a few questions and he cut me off asking me why I was even there. I quit asking questions. I really felt belittled when I left.

I have been going to ear specialists my entire life. It was refreshing to find Dr. Grimes who is the most caring physician I have ever had regarding my ear problems. He did surgery for me and provided superior care.
Bellville |
Rude and snobby.
Mansfield Ohio |
Dr. Grimes performed a tonsillectomy on me several days ago. My initial impression of him was that he was very genuine and thorough. However, after my surgery I learned that he wouldn't prescribe me pain meds. I can understand why doctors are hesitant to prescribe narcortics, but after a pretty major surgery?! He told my parents that he does not believe in them. He recommended children's liquid Tylenol. Even after calling the office and describing my pain and how miserable I am.
Thank you for your comments, and I am always happy to explain my approach to control of pain following best practice guidelines as supported in the medical literature. I agree tonsillectomy can be a painful experience for some patients, and that meeting pain control expectations can sometimes be challenging to provide in a safe manner.
Mansfield, OH |
Very belittling , obnoxious . I don't feel he has any compassion for his patients. He doesn't listen to patients complaints and does not allow a patient or other doctors for that matter opinion. If you have other options, choose them , or if you have a common problem that is easy to diagnose he may be your man.
