Seen on 7/16/20, associate took blood pressure, was high 162/82 I told her that was rare, check daily and usually 132/80 which I'm ok with being 68 yrs old. Dr comes in, says he going to change my meds to ACE inhibitors. I explained I've been through that 3 years ago. Always side effects, cough, pain in side, etc. Like I wasn't even talking. Sent prescription to CVS, picked up, but not taking. What I'm currently taking works with no side effects.

My visit was a televisit. I feel like the staff did a good job preparing both the dr. and myself for the call. Dr. did a good job of addressing any issues. I have been going to him for about 13 years.

After reaching the patient room, the nurse came in right away to complete the preliminary duties, and after that I waited 40 minutes for Dr. Eichhorn to see me. He spent 5 minutes with me answering the questions on his computer. I gave him a typed update on some issues, but he didn't really look at it, but said he would put it in my chart. During this 5 minutes, he listened to my heart and said the nurse would be in to finalize my visit. Approximately 15 minutes later she finally came back. I found the waiting time for physician and nurse was unacceptable. Especially, since he only spent 5 minutes with me.

Dr Eichhorn is a caring, knowledgeable physician. I have a long standing cardiovascular illness. I am still alive today because of his excellent knowledge and outstanding treatment. I have had opportunities to improve my overall well-being because of his skill in long term management of my condition and his encouragement of my taking responsibility to do the things needed to support my own well-being. I am capable of enjoying a full time career teaching at the tertiary level, which I still enjoy immensely.

This was an annual checkup. It took the place of my annual nuclear stress test follow-up that I had been doing in previous years. It consisted of (1) physical exam and balance test (heal/toe walking & standing) by Dr. Eichhorn; (2) questions about my condition (shortness of breath, chest pain, etc.); (3) discussion about my having several falls earlier in winter/spring until I started physical therapy to strengthen muscles in legs/back/abdomen and work on balance and doctor had some concerns about my balance vis-a-vis the cerebellum ; Doctor had a medical student shadowing him. The consultation seemed to last longer than normal although I'm a new patient for Eichhorn having transferred from Dr. Rosenthal. I was very satisfied with thoroughness of the visit and was scheduled for 6 month follow-up.
