No other doctor has ever made me feel as calm and relaxed as he does. He treats you like a person not just a another patient. He took his time explaining the various breast cancer surgical procedure options I had. He answered all of my questions in depth and reassured me all would be fine. My end result was exactly how he explained and I was very happy with my tiny scar. In my opinion, he is one of the greatest doctors ever and I would highly recommend him. Sometimes there is a wee bit of a wait (like 15 min) but he is well worth it!

From the moment I met him (upon referral from a friend), I knew my health was in the most competent hands on Earth. Dr. Burdge is knowledgeable, compassionate and cites factual data at each visit. He tells it straight and doesn't make you leave his office feeling that something wasn't covered. He explains everything in detail and provides detail handouts--so be prepared to listen carefully and take notes. Do not expect to be treated with "kid gloves". He is an expert and presents himself as nothing less. My life is in his hands and I couldn't be happier!

I saw Dr. Burdge following a referral from my primary doctor. He may not be "warm and fuzzy" but I wanted a knowledgeable doctor NOT a friend. He recommended a partial mastectomy and radiation whereas the general doctor in the suburbs recommended a double mastectomy for my stage I cancer. He took out the sentinel node to see if it had spread. All these years later, I am still cancer free. I owed him everything.

I went to Dr. Burdge for a second opinion. I had been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. Despite the fact that the site was small, my first doctor (NOT Dr. Burdge) aggressively suggested a mastectomy, but never provided any details- even when pressed. So, I went to Dr. Burdge. He was so thorough and knowledgeable. Walked me through the details of each procedure, the rates of recurrence, prognosis, etc. Once I met with him, there was no way I was going to anyone else. One year out, I have healed nicely and am cancer free. I am so appreciative of his expertise and deeply grateful for his treatment.

Stellar doctor and surgeon! I only speak Spanish but this doctor did too!!! Oh how fortunate to have found him. He explained everything to me in my own language. I had an abnormal ultrasound with the recommendation for a biopsy. Dr. Burdge did the biopsy and it was the most pleasant and understanding environment I could have ever hoped for. He and his staff surpassed my expectation. All went above and beyond. I highly recommend Dr. Burdge for all of your breast needs.

I had DCIS breast cancer two years ago and had a mastectomy. Imagine my surprise to find that I now had cancer (the same type no less) in my left breast two years later?! Dr. Burdge was the BEST throughout this whole process. He helped me assemble my Breast Cancer Team and then they went to work! I always felt like I was in control...it was a no brainier for me...I asked him to remove my other breast. I am recovering well. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Burdge and his Cancer Team!!!!

I am 77 years old and was shocked to find out I have breast cancer!!! I was referred to Dr. Burdge and he was a Godsend. He was very nice an polite (nice young Doctor). He helped me understand my type of cancer and that I had several treatment options. He helped me assemble my Breast Cancer team. I had a large tumor so he suggested chemo up front. Afterwards I told him I wanted both breasts removed. My surgery is done and I am very happy with the care I received from Dr. Burdge and his Team!

But Dr. Burdge and his breast cancer team took me by the hand and showed me that it was possible to win this battle with breast cancer! I had my surgery and oh what a wonderful job Dr. Burdge did! You can hardly tell I had surgery?! It looks so beautiful...now I understand why he is Hidden Scar Certified. He is certainly the BEST in the Valley. I am 68 years old and I had abnormal mammogram.I was petrified. My regular Doctor recommended Dr. Burdge. He diagnosed me with a double whammy--two cancers in my breast at one time?! Because of the tumor sizes, he recommended neoadjuvant therapy. I finished that (four months of chemo, my hair falling out, etc., etc.) but Dr. Burdge was always positive and gave me the courage to press onward. I finished the chemo and then had the surgery. Dr. Burdge did an AWESOME job! Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Burdge is so kind and caring. He is also very straight forward, direct, and to the point. What I really appreciated was that he called me to come in to discuss my biopsy results as soon as they came in, even though he was going on vacation the very next day and he was already in the middle of a very packed clinic day!!!! I knew I might have to wait until he returned from vacation before I scheduled the biopsy, so he definitely went above and BEYOND!

I was a patient of Dr. Kopen for 15 years...unfortunately, he passed away. I didn't think anyone could fill those shoes...I really didn't. Fortunately, Dr. Burdge has done an excellent job of filling Dr. Kopen's shoes. He is just as kind and patient. Very well informed and eager to discuss any type of pathology. I always feel at ease speaking to him about my many medical issues, even those not directly related to breasts!!! You will not be disappointed if you allow Dr. Burdge and his breast CA.

Quite literally saved my life! My annual breast studies were interpreted by the radiologist as BENIGN (Birads 2) annual surveillance. Dr. Burdge examined at my studies and suggested a biopsy, instead...guess what?! I had breast cancer?! Bottom-line, I had hidden scar nipple-sparing mastectomies with reconstruction by Dr. Krafchin. My new boobs are AWESOME. You can't go wrong with Dr. Burdge as the head of your Breast Cancer Team--trust me--I know! He is a game changer in this war against cancer.

This year my mammogram was abnormal. I was really scared that I had cancer because my mother is a breast cancer survivor. Dr. Burdge was so patient and kind, but very matter-of-fact--I like that! He told me that it could be benign (not normal but not cancer-causing or cancer) or malignant but in his words: "we need to gather more intel before we can attack! The biopsy is the next best step." I had every confidence in him and his great breast team, they immediately put me at ease on bx day.

I makes me feel like he has all the time in the world and that I am the center of his focus during my visit. He will take good care of your breasts!

I found a breast mass last week. My GYN sent me to Dr. Burdge and told me he was the best. Dr. Burdge saw me in consultation, IMMEDIATELY--no wait at all--now that is service above and beyond. He was so nice and very matter-of-fact. He reassured me as best he could--obviously he can't tell me what is going on until, as he told me, the pathologist examines the biopsy specimen, nevertheless he was very honest, forthright, and forthcoming about what to expect. I didn't need a PhD to understand.
