From the moment I contacted Dr. Bartel’s office I feel as though I am a priority as his patient. Dr. Bartel was recommended to me by my friend who is a patient at Fox Valley Orthopedics. Every person on his staff is knowledgeable and dedicated to caring for Dr. Bartel’s patients. Dr. Bartel reviewed my x-rays taken at his office. He had them displayed on his computer screen and explained his thoughts in full detail answering all of my questions. I do not feel rushed at all. Dr. Bartel is patient, intelligent, kind and a gifted doctor. He examined my foot very thoroughly. My next step was an MRI. I feel as though I am being treated with excellent care. I am very confident. Dr. Bartel is an amazing doctor.

I went to Dr Bartel for a second opinion after I was told that “there was nothing we can do” for a severely sprained ankle. He took the time to speak with me about how I was feeling, showed me my imaging and explained what it meant, and worked with me to come up with a plan. I wish I would have gone to him first... perhaps I would have gotten the answers I needed and healed at an appropriate pace.

I have been a patient of Dr.Bartel's for over 10 years. Due to posterior tibial tendonitis I recently had a foot reconstruction that included the following procedures: left flexor digitorum longus tendon transfer, posterior tibial tendon debridement, Evans calcaneal osteotomy, Cotton osteotomy, percutaneus tendo Achilles lenghthening. Before the surgery Dr. Bartel patiently answered ALL of my questions. He never made me feel rushed. I am very satisfied with the results of the surgery.
