I have had a similar experience with this pathologist. I made contact with the Texas Department of Insurance and have filed a Mediation request. This pathologist has not responded to my health insurance provider nor the Texas Department of Insurance. This case is now moving to the State Office of Administrative Hearings. This process is for a bill from a medical provider over $500. It is lengthy but worth the effort. Good luck.

Went to in-network GI physician for a procedure only to get a huge bill from pathology lab stating that (De Leon) is out-of-network. Won't return my calls/emails to inquire about the bill. One would assume an in-network physician would use in-network labs, etc. Extremely frustrated.

I received notice also that my insurance was billed and I had no clue for what. Not clear what this bill is for! And to top it off, insurance won't cover any of it so I have about 2800 in medical bills. Why the heck do we pay insurance companies when these people play games?!?!?!?

Billed for $1800 for lab tests from a colonoscopy. I used an in-network gastroenterologist but it turns out this doctor and this facility are out of network. I have also read that the staff told another patient that they do not participate with any insurance networks. Nice scam.
