I made an appointment 2 weeks ago at the request of another Dr wanting a skin biopsy. A few days ago they called & asked to move my appt from 2:20 to 2:00 because Dr Gutierrez has to leave at 2:30 for a meeting. Today at exactly 1:40pm the Drs office calls me, “I know you have an appt at 2, but she doesn’t have the tools to do your skin biopsy & we’ll have to reschedule you.” Must’ve been an excuse/lie bc she didn’t have time! Found out from my Dr she did another skin biopsy earlier today..

Do not see this doctor. 45 min late for my appt- spent 5 min with me- ordered blood tests and $200 of prescriptions- didn’t call in my prescriptions- didn’t return my calls- “we forgot”- didn’t contact me with my blood results- I had to contact them- they had them for 2 days without telling me- “everything looks normal”- what’s that mean?- “you can make an appointment if you want to talk to dr”- can I talk to her?- she’ll call you- 4 weeks, 15+ calls, 5+ voicemails- no response. Go elsewhere.

I will never go back after my first visit. No respect for patients time. I schedule an 8am appointment and still waited over 90 minutes to see Dr. Elsa Gutierrez. My brief interaction with the nurse was even more frustrating, when she told me that the doctor could not perform an initial intake and look at several large moles in one visit. I would have to schedule another appointment to have my large moles looked at. Thankfully the doctor managed to do both. Heed the other negative reviews.

Incredible lack of customer service. I’ve been waiting 6 weeks for the doctor to send my prescriptions through to the pharmacy despite multiple calls to the office. Find another dermatologist if you need timely care and follow up

Very, very slow appointment. My appointment was at 10:40 and she came in the room at 12:15 after I complained. I was prescribed meds for my face and it was never called in, so I had to wait until after the weekend to get it. The doctor herself is very knowledgeable and I completely trust her. I've learned things from her that no one else has said. She was my 3rd opinion on possible precancer on my nose, but it turned out to be a bad case of rosacea. I recommend, but know what's to come.

Dr. Guiterrez is not respectful of her patients’ time. One patient ahead of me had been in the office for 2 hours and then he was moved to a room where he waited for another 1/2 hour (total 2 1/2 hours). He wanted know how long before he can be seen, they told him soon. I had already waited 1 1/2 hours, so I was not going to wait any longer. The patient's time is just as valuable as the doctor's time. I have a choice in which doctors I see, so I no longer will be going to Dr. Guiterrez.

As an acne sufferer, I made an appointment with this doctor. I have NEVER been treated in such a condescending manner by a healthcare professional. I understand as a dermatologist, you must encourage and promote sun safety. At the time, I was training for a race, and in spite of efforts to wear sunscreen, I had quite a tan. She condescendingly questioned whether I was a painter or a construction worker that worked outside. Very rude and unprofessional. Work on your tact, Dr. Gutierrez.
