Elizabeth's many years of experience as a midwife continue to demonstrate to her the normal nature of childbirth and the strength of women to give birth. She strongly supports family centered childbirth, as she believes that the foundation of the family begins during the birthing and bonding process. She encourages women and their partners to be active participants in their care so that they better understand the process of pregnancy and childbirth. Elizabeth believes that pregnancy and birth are best cared for by midwives for optimal outcomes, and that care should be individualized to women's specific needs. She enjoys caring for women of all ages, and has a special interest in gynecologic care. When not taking care of women, Elizabeth enjoys biking, hiking, cooking, and traveling to far flung regions of the world.
