Besides my PC physician, she is the best doctor I have had in over 60 years. She listens, she’s kind and considerate, answers any questions, and explains everything clearly. The end result is, you feel comfortable having her by your side before, during, and after your procedure.

100% satisfied
I truely can’t say enough about Dr. McLarney and her staff. Besides being upbeat, informative, encouraging and thorough, everything came together for both knees I had replaced in 2021! For 100% fulfillment my parents instilled in me years ago, “what ever you put in, you can get out. It won’t always be easy, but well worth it.” If from time to time I’d feel my self questioning my progress, it’s not the procedure that brings that feeling on, it’s the lack of time I put in. I only have two knees, but if I did have a third and it needed replacement, I’d be right back to Dr. McLarney and her outstanding staff!!

As always, excellent. She's an amazing surgeon with great compassion for her patients. She replaced my hip this summer (2021) and repaired a boxer's fracture in 2014. Somewhere between those two surgeries, she also repaired a torn meniscus. I only will go to Dr. McLarney for orthopedics as long as she is at BMH!

Dr. Elizabeth McLarney is an outstanding surgeon. She is highly experienced and very professional, yet approachable and empathetic. My partial knee replacement went perfectly and is feeling great. My knee is functioning completely with total extension, flexion and no pain. Dr. McLarney is strict regarding physical therapy and performing a regimen of specific exercises to enable the absolute best results. I unequivocally know this is why I have recovered so incredibly well. Dr. McLarney has done both of my knee replacements, repaired a complete tear of my rotator cuff, and nursed me through a spiral fracture in my humerus--all with excellent results. She is an exceptionally talented surgeon with a warm personality. A rare combination. She really listens, and explains everything. No need to go to Dartmouth as long as she's working at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.

Living with two detached tendons on my rotator cuff for a number of months, Dr. McLarney's team was able to move me through the hoops and get me two surgical repair in good time, even through the pandemic. She was great to talk with and crystal clear in her explanations and was confident in her prognosis for me to make a full recovery. I am very pleased with everything about this work with Dr. McLarney, and would recommend her skills as a surgeon and diagnostician to anyone looking for help with shoulders and knees.

Dr McLarney performed emergency femur fracture surgery on my left hip(from a bicycle accident. She inserted 3 concatenated screws(via wires) making only 3 small incisions in my hip. The results were excellent(no seeping, external blood loss, etc) and my PT is going very well. I might also mention that she did this late on a friday afternoon, post accident! Great job Dr McLarney!!
