I just had a new patient visit with Dr. Cefalu and she was amazing. I just needed a routine check up but she really dug into my past medical records and recommended some important follow up care. It was a pleasant, enjoyable visit. She spent a long time with me and I never felt rushed. I would highly recommend her.

Very impersonal and very judgmental. I do not choose to vaccinate against flu or pneumonia and there was a definite attitude. there are things placed in my permanent medical record that are not based in fact. She is cold, particularly if you have a differing point of view. She's everything that is wrong with our world right now.

Horrible. Sits on her computer the whole time entering codes. Very impersonal. Every time we went in she acted like it was our first time seeing her even though my entire family was in her practice for more than 3 years. She didn’t request the correct bloodwork for my daughter and now after seeing a new pediatrician, who did the correct tests....we are being referred to a genetic counselor for a possible degenerative muscular disease that she completely missed in my child!!! Stay away!

Dr. Cefalu is wonderful. Very kind and caring. Very thorough in explaining everything and actually listening when you ask questions or have concerns. Her entire staff is also great. Best doctor I have had since moving to Florida 7 years ago. I totally trust her and respect her decisions. Reminds me of the doctors I had when I lived in Illinois.

I am so impressed by the true care, concern, and professionalism by Dr. Cefalu and her staff. Dr. Cefalu listens intently to my health history and asks many questions to get to the cause of my condition. She is conservative in her diagnoses and thorough in follow up to ensure my problems have been resolved. Thank you so much for being the kind of doctor who is an advocate for the patient. Thank you for her staff who follow her lead.

Stay away! This woman shouldn’t even be in practice. First red flag is she see’s patients that are newborns and patients that are in their 90s. Had to wait months for an appointment, then they tried to make me wait another 3 months for blood work. All this place cares about is paperwork and getting your money. I came in for back pain, she delayed blood work recommend physical therapy and asked if I wanted a pain pill. I went to the emergency room a week after seeing her and I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that spread to my back. She is not thorough at all, it’s such a shame she is in practice.

nice staff and very thorough. Although I too have noticed her laptop is priority during visit and sometimes I have to wait to finish what I am saying so she can get her thoughts down on the laptop. Medically proficient but could use a better way to get her paperwork done instead of taking time away from patient to do it.

I tried to get an appointment for a month only then to find out that Dr. Cefalu was not accepting new patients. Why was I not told that when I first called? I called at least 3 times over that period of time. Would never recommend this office to anyone as I feel that I was treated without any respect and would be concerned about how I would be treated in the future.

Dr Cefalu is the best most caring doctor I've ever had. I'm 63 & she is the 1st PCP that actually follows thru & works behind the scenes assuring prompt referrals & any necessary testing gets done quickly & with highly qualified specialists. Whether on vacation or at the dinner table Dr Cefalu is always taking care of her patients. Furthermore her staff is just as dedicated & amazing. In this era of healthcare it is a rarity to be important in a doctors office & not just a chart number.

Dr. Cefalu is probably a very good diagnostician. On the few times I have seen her she has been primarily focused on getting all the information into her laptop. I feel that she is thorough, yet there is a definite lack of warmth. Would I trust her in a medical emergency? Yes. I also need my doctor to be understanding and gentle. I did not get that the last time I saw her. I was judged, reprimanded for not "doing the exam in the right order"... basically treated in an abusive manner.

Does not listen to her patients, even if the patient has a chronic illness and knows what works. Spends whole appointment typing. She spent first 3-4 minutes of my 10 minute appointment telling me about herself. Staff is very nice.

I finally found a Physician who cared for the patient and didn't succumb to the system. She practices great medicine and if she doesn't know something about a medication or its interaction, she immediately looks it up! I am saddened to have moved and lost access to the care she provided me. As a retired health professional, I had been disappointed in many other providers. Dr Cefalu is truly a physician who cares!
