Her expertise includes minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, elbow and wrist as well as reconstructive surgery for traumatic and arthritic conditions of the hand and upper extremity. Dr. Ahillen brings her passion for excellent patient care to Arthritis & Sports, and is Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Ahillen is an active community volunteer, and has a particular passion for Therapeutic Horse Riding. "

I came to Dr. Ahillen because I had terrible case of carpal tunnel syndrome in both of my wrists. It started about 2 1/2 years before and got to the point where I couldn't put on make-up or write without being in extreme pain. Excellent bedside manners. Very thorough in explaining the current hand problem, potential signs to look out for, etc. Gave sufficient time, was not in a rush (as I find many docs in this field can be). Really pleasant experience.
