Office staff is friendly and professional. I was able to get a new patient appointment quickly and without a lot of hassle. Dr. Silverman is very personable, knowledgeable and takes his time listening and explaining everything - awesome bedside manner. I like that he's conservative in his treatment options and not quick to offer invasive and unnecessary tests and treatments.

Dr Silverman did my TKR a few weeks ago and the entire process, from consult to leaving hospital, was phenomenal. He called me the day before the surgery to check in and go over our choices. Prior to surgery, he checked in with my aunt and I, went over the process again and made sure he had answered all questions. Surgery so far has been a huge success. My PT says the incision looks amazing and that my progress is better than expected. Everyone at Dr Silverman’s was super friendly, attentive, & quick to respond when I had questions. I live in Colorado and we have amazing surgeons here, but I would fly to Miami again if I ever need to do the other knee. He’s that good.

Dr Silverman was great He is caring and very honest . The fact that he told me to wait instead of having surgery right away just goes to show his honesty and concern for me as a patient.

I had hip replacement surgery with Dr. Silverman on October 2017 and the results could not have been better. The physical therapy recommended by Dr. Silverman and the follow up visits have been excellent and given me much confidence in my "new" hip. I highly recommend Dr. Silverman as a surgeon and human being.

Dr. Silverman and his staff are top notch. Professional and very friendly. The make you feel at ease even though you probably wouldn't be there if there wasn't a problem. It's quite a long drive for me to get to the office so he does everything he can so I can make the least amount of trips. Not many doctors would do that, so that should give you a slight glimpse of his character. If you are looking for a great orthopedist with a very friendly and helpful staff, look no further...

I first came to The Orthopedic Institute two years ago with an intractable infection in my tibia that I had harbored for thirty nine years. My knee joint was filled with osteoarthritis and I was limping badly and in need of a cane. I had no insurance at the time so I waited until I turned sixty five and became Medicare eligible. I had been to a half a dozen doctors over the years and was told the same thing by all of them; no cure, amputation was the prognosis. Dr. Silverman with an assist from Dr. Durfee laid out a plan to do a debridement of the tibia and to follow up with a total knee replacement. It has been thirteen months and four successful surgeries later and I am walking hands and pain free. And while the pathogen grew back Dr. Silverman has been able to mitigate the infection with antibiotics. I can never thank Dr. Silverman enough. He has rebuilt a badly broken and arthritic leg. I couldn't be more impressed with Mercy Hospital and the Institute. Innovation indeed!

To the point, no BS total knee replacement able to walk 280 steps twice the next day after procedure in therapy. Could walk on solid surface with only socks versus thick sole tennis shoes prior to procedure. It is a mayor impact on your Body it takes time for your Body to heal. Do Your Therapy. Time will help you forget how hard a procedure it was and you will get your other knee done if needed. I know I Will
