Very competent and detailed in explaining my problem after showing up at ER in excruciating pain. Stented my kidney and got me in a comfortable place. After resting it a couple of weeks, pulled the stent and got the stone causing the problem. All this without a single complication. Feeling like my old self. Great bedside manner, truly cared about my problem and comfort. Great office staff.

RUN......!
I am a 71 year male - I went to see him last week for a test he recommended .
He never looks at you Probably the most unfriendly doctor I have ever meet,never explains one thing to you properly ,and then prescribes that I catheter myself every day without conducting any more test to see why I was retaining fluid in my bladder obviously I was extremely depressed when I left his office I consulted my family doctor whom is awesome and we are going to a different urologist point blank

We're very disappointed with the way Dr. Schatte treated my dad.
1st of all, he's not very friendly.
2nd of all, he doesn't care about the patient at all. My dad had a foley catheter put in for almost 3 weeks, he was in a lot of pain and discomfort. We called the doctor's office to request that they removed it. After 4 days of calling and getting the "we'll call you back" response, we didn't get any response until I finally firmed up my voice. Dr Schatte refused, not care about my dad's pain.

Horrible experience. Poorly run and rude front office staff in Webster. Test results lost. Poor communication. Don't go here - run. Patients even complaining in the waiting room.

Fired him several years ago. His staff could never get the paper work for xrays correct at the hospital. He's not the only urologist in town.

Incomplete procedure in hospital but left and did not expain to me or wife. Heard nothing for 2 week appointment then decided I needed an invasive procedure. At the o hospital, the radiologist did a completely different procedure. Later,, I was in excruciating pain. I called Dr. Schatte's office to learn he was out of town. Got this message from him, if I go to ER to have removed, he would no longer treat me. Turns out not functioning. Ended up with hospital stay and another procedure. :(

This doctor completely mangled my care. First, attempted a procedure and when I woke up, it wasn't done. He didn't talk to my wife, was just gone. Finally got hold of him and he wanted to do another procedure that was very invasive. Reluctantly, I agree, only to have the radiologist they selected do a different procedure because I was too young (48) and attempt a different procedure altogether.
