this guy is by far the worst excuse for a doctor I have ever had the misfortune to have inflected on me in my 57 years of meeting real doctors. He has no bed side manor wont even take the time to learn you name even after being seen in his office. I told him his actions could lead to my death as told to me by a couple emergency room doctors, he sats I dont care and you will just have to tough it out. He knows he's in a position of power because if he cuts you off of the meds you go into withdraw
Not attentive, didn't look at my file, asked questions he had the answer to, should have looked at my file prior to seeing me, ie MRI results, xrays and radiology report, he spent less than 5 minutes with me, as I did most of the talking during the more of an interview than a doctors visit

      Nature of Complaint:

      The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of Nevada (Board) filed a formal complaint against Edward Michael Outlaw, M.D., (Respondent) alleging two violations of Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) Chapter 630. Count II: Alleges a violation of NRS 630.3065(1), willful disclosure of a communication privileged pursuant to a statute or court order.

      Action Taken:

      On March 9, 2012 a Settlement, Waiver and Consent Agreement was approved and accepted by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners (Board) in which the Board found that Respondent has engaged in conduct that is grounds for discipline pursuant to the Medical Practice Act, , to wit: a violation of Nevada Revised Statute Section 630.3065(1) by the act of abandoning medical records related to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients; and ordering that the Board issue Respondent a public reprimand; Respondent shall pay a fine of $2,500.00; Respondent shall reimburse the costs of the investigation and prosecution in the sum of $1,323.21. Count I of the Complaint shall be dismissed.
