Ocoee, FL |
The doctor is very dismissive and does not take appropriate time to discuss specific health concerns. It is very difficult to get someone to pick up their phone and if you leave messages, they don’t return them.
Orlando, FL |
I have had numerous horrible experiences with this office. Late appointments, the nurse never returns your call (even though they say they will by the end of the day), and if an appointment is moved you have to wait 4 months. The service is very poor - the staff could care less about their patients. Tied with never getting any help on the phone from the nurse to the time it takes to get an appointment, I do NOT recommend Dr. Martorell to anyone.
Tampa, FL |
Dr Martorell was very helpful, however he is extremely hard to contact and renewing prescriptions through his office is extremely difficult leaving you without medications for days while you wait for a return call.
in Davenport, FL |
Dr. Martorell is soft-spoken and somewhat hard to understand but does seem concerned and knowledgeable. Problem is the office staff. They do not answer the phone, do not return calls, condescending, never so much as a hello when you come in. Also, many times the wait is very long for a short appointment.
Davenport, FL |
Ok Dr. Lacks personality.
Davenport, FL |
The staff at the office are really sweet. Always looking to put a smile on your face. I have been coming here for years and I think it's because the staff make you feel like part of the family. On the negative side the doctor is slow, you do have to wait a while to see him and a while for an appointment.
in Clermont |
I would never recommend this doctor because of the obnoxious behavior of some of his staff, especially the nurse, she should not be dealing with sick people, she increases your stress level by the way she speaks to you. She is the rudest person I have ever met in the medical field. After speaking to her on the phone I immediately decided to change my doctor.
I'm not impressed with my care there. The staff is not professional in any manner, they could care less about you or your needs. The Dr. himself is so-so, very non-caring. This maybe is because I only see him once or twice a year as I needed a Rheumatologist while I am in Florida. Looking around for another MD as I have to drive 1+ hour to get to office. I have dealt with a Rheumatologist back home since 2001 and I prefer that office 100% better but I need one down here.
in Orlando, FL |
The Staff in Orlando office don't care about the patients, I call and call...over and over leave messages no body cares about returning a call. I need an RA doctor because I have a condition not Because I am looking for candies. An the doctor is to slow, you have to tell him what to do and they are always slow. Sorry but that location should be close.
in Davenport Fl |
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! He is not interested in helping. The wait time was over an hour just to get back to see him. He examined me half way, prescribed me ibuprofen, told me to come back in 2 months for X-rays and blood work. The office will not do any of that in house before he would go any further. The office staff was rude, unprofessional, loud and hateful. I walked out and won't be back.
in Windermere, FL |
Does not ask a lot of questions, seems disinterested, does not explain things, does not act as a partner in your care, does not look at the big picture. I have been in the care of a rheumatologist for 5+ years. I recently moved and had to choose another one, in-network. Rather than recognizing my history and working with me from there, he disregarded all of that and started over from square one. Office staff is unprofessional. VERY long wait for appointments. Very frustrating experience.
in St Petersburg, FL |
My sister went in to see dr edgar martorell for her lupus condition. She was looking to change her doctor because her current doctor's practice is too large and overwhelmed. She drove over an hour to see this doctor since following a recommendation. The doctor's staff was kind and understanding however, dr edgar martorell was dismissive, uninterested, and at times rude. Very unprofessional. She asked the nurse to ask the doctor to come back to the room since she forgot to ask a question regard
in Clermont, FL |
The office staff was very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Martorell was very professional, kind, helpful and insightful. Loved the whole office.
