Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Stevens "The purpose of cosmetic surgery is to turn back the clock; eliminating or reducing the effects of time & occasionally to enhance features beyond what may have been present to begin with. A well-executed facelift, for example, doesn't elicit comments that compliment me or the procedure; rather, the goal is for people to notice a newness, a freshness but without the ability to put their finger on what leads them to notice this change. I want people to look at you and think that you look great. Is it the hair, is it a vacation or a new sense of energy and optimism? I am not looking for, "wow, what a nice facelift." The goal is not to have you look like someone else but rather to look like yourself without the effects of aging. In the case of a chin or cheek augmentation or nasal cosmetic surgery, these procedures can correct a deficit that was present before but in such a subtle way that it is hard to realize that anything was done without looking at side by side before & after pictures.

When people speak & interact with you there is a movement of their focus revolving around your eyes & the nose. Facial recognition software that is in use to survey the crowds in New York utilizes digital image information from these areas because the features found there are most useful in identifying individuals of interest. Thus, any change made to the eyes, brows & nose are very subtle but very significant in the way others view you. One of my favorite procedures is the endoscopic browplasty. With tiny quarter inch incisions behind the hairline I can elevate the brows and open up the eyes in a very different way then just removing excess skin of the upper eyelid. The result makes you look more awake, rested & alert without the surprised look that causes concern. Once the brows are properly placed then addressing the extra skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids puts the polishing touch on the result."

Dr. Stevens always takes whatever time is necessary to answer all questions and concerns a patient has. One never feels rushed or "brushed off". He is very patient and accommodating.

There are no words to express my gratitude for Dr.Stevens and his staff. I wanted privacy for my procedures and was not confronted with patients in the waiting room. This highly skilled Dr. Was a military Dr. Working on our soldiers serious facial injuries. He's caring and never pressures you. My entire experience with Dr. Stevens and his office was wonderful. They were all very professional, patient, friendly and helpful. I also had an excellent outcome with my sinus surgery and follow-up treatment. Thanks Dr. and team. I have and will continue to recommend your services. God Bless!!!

Dr. Stevens is professional, very comforting, and I'm delighted with how well my procedure went. Nothing better than looking rested and a bit more youthful. He was recommended by several friends who are long time devoted patients. The office staff is happy, efficient and they make the visit fun, not intimidating like some offices.

All the reviews talk about the staff being "nice". The staff can be as nice as possible but b/c the skill level isn't there, you end up with HORRIBLE results like I did. I was fooled by these superficial reviews. I saw good reviews & relied upon. Now after a bad surgery and being disfigured, a REAL review is AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There aren't more REAL reviews here b/c he pays for silence. I refuse to take the money & sign the form agreeing not to publish negative comments b/c I wish someone had

I had a very pleasant experience at my visit with Dr. Stevens. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dr. Stevens is very professional and knowledgeable about his specialty but at the same time he is down to earth and very pleasant.

In the nearly two years that I have been seeing Dr. Stevens, he has always given me as much time as I needed to have my questions answered and my issues addressed. I have never felt as if Dr. Stevens was pressuring me to consider a rather invasive or overly expensive procedure. He has always discussed every procedure with me and my husband regarding the pros and cons as to which procedures were right for me. I must also address Dr. Stevens' staff; they are all professional and personable.
Hi Linda, thank you for taking the time to leave such an excellent review. It is our pleasure to assist you and make sure you choose to take the route that is best suited to meet your beauty goals. We look forward to seeing you at your next visit!

My wife saw Dr. Stevens twice in two years for an "ENT" problem. He mis-diagnosed the problem both times. Out of frustration we sought out a highly regarded "ENT" in Tampa, FL, who after hearing my wifes symptoms for two minutes and doing a simple thirty second breathing test diagnosed the problem as "Patulous Eustachian tube" which is a common "ENT" problem. The specialist in Tampa was befuddled as to why Dr. Stevens could not have diagnosed this problem. Pathetic!
in Fort Myers, FL |
With a five star staff and a five star Dr. I have finally found the environment and professionals to tackle the aging process with a natural looking result. I couldn't be happier with my outcome and feel people are now looking at me and not my imperfections. It has altered the trajectory of my future and for this I am more confident and thankful for taking the "leap" into the gifted hands of Dr.Stevens and his talented support team. Thank you all, Mr. Blake.
in Fort Myers, FL |
Dr Stevens took the time to sit down and really listen to my issues and concerns. He didn't gloss over, talk over, or rush through my exam. He wasn't condescending and he put me at ease immediately and made me feel like he sincerely cared about the pain and frustration I'm experiencing. He put a plan into place. It's nice when you can tell care and compassion are art of who he is in his everyday world. Wish I had found him 3 Dr's sooner.

Dr. Stevens is professional, personable, and empathetic. I consulted him for balloon sinuplasty to relieve severe nasal congestion from allergies that caused daily sinus pressure headaches. He was open to doing the surgery and explained that it is typically done for chronic sinusitis, but that it could help someone with narrow nasal passages and pressure from allergies. I felt relief two weeks after the surgery and have not had a sinus pressure headaches. I recommend him without reservation.
